Monday

Hello!  We had a very busy day today-- on top of our usual 4th grade busy schedule, we added a severe weather drill, a meeting with Boy Scouts, and a trip to the computer lab!  Whoa! 

Tonight's homework is:

• Reading: Reading Log (does not need to be completed in order; not due til Friday, but will be checked each morning); complete workbook vocabulary page (most finished in class)
• Spelling: review words
• Math: complete WB page on rounding numbers

Also, please look through and return yellow folders (quite a few things need to be filled out and returned); and if students are interested in chorus, please return permission form and fee.

Tonight's homework is as follows:

• Reading: reread story and review vocabulary to prepare for Winn Dixie quiz tomorrow
• Spelling: finish worksheet (two-sided)--many students have already turned this in
• Math: complete wb p. 4 and 5 (lesson 1.2)

What a crazy day!  We have been SO BUSY today trying to get everything in...and we did a pretty good job, I'd say! :)

Here's tonight's homework:

• Reading: complete vocabulary worksheet #1-10 only
• Spelling: worksheet due Thursday (2-sided)
• Math: get family letter signed and return it
• Go through yellow folder of information--keep at home and return folder empty.

Hello!  We switched classes for the first time today, and students got to meet Mrs. Rase and Mrs. Portwood!  Very exciting!

Homework tonight is to finish a Me Poster they've been working on. 

If you haven't yet turned in the $20 room fee, PLEASE do so as soon as possible.  You have no idea how much it helps our class!  Thanks so much!

Don't forget that tonight is our monthly SGES Spirit Night at Giovanni's Pizza!  A portion of their sales today come right back to our school toward the purchase of new and improved technology.  Please take your family and friends for dinner!  Giovanni's is located on 460 between Western Elementary and the nearby gas station.  Hope to see you there!

First Day Back to School!

(Parents of 5th graders who still subscribe--you may want to unsubscribe unless you're just really curious about what's happening in 4th grade these days! Hope you had a great first day!)

We had a GREAT first day back!  Tonight, students need to complete a newsletter-like homework called "First Day News."  They also have a quick, front/back parent survey for you to fill out.  Please look for both of these in their homework folder, and be sure they ask you to sign their agenda when their homework is complete!  We will check these in the morning.

We are finished with reading, and have completed one part of math.  Tomorrow is a REALLY.  LONG. MORNING.  It's double math...with lots of writing!!!  I hope students are prepared to work hard, and do their very best.
